The doctoral school of language sciences trains researchers in the linguistic description and analysis of diverse phenomena in a wide variety of languages, relying on different theoretical frameworks and experimental approaches. In conjunction with research training, PhD students at ED 622 are encouraged to pursue careers in applied domains (language industry, voice technologies, language instruction, and speech therapy).
Our graduates pursue careers in both academia and industry. Many of them engage in teaching and research, while others follow opportunities in the realm of new communication technologies or in the distribution and creation of oral or written linguistic resources.
